The Hotel Committee act as liaisons, following up on hotel complaints to the company, union and/or corporate security as needed.  In addition, they provide input to Corporate Travel regarding hotels bidding for our business.  The following is a brief list of some of their activities:

The Hotel Committee along with representatives of Flight Ops., meet with the Company as needed to discuss hotel complaints, compliments and upcoming changes.  They bring out and address any issues that may affect F/A's and present our viewpoints based on feedback from other F/A's.

When possible they go on hotel inspections and point out numerous issues and how they could positively or negatively affect F/A's if we were to overnight there.  They make reports at the Local Lodge meeting with information about hotel complaints and any findings made by the Company plus future hotel changes.

Flight Attendants Report Hotel Issues:

A Message From John:

To My Fellow Flight Attendants:

When I receive your comment sheets regarding complaints about hotels and/or transportation issues they are forwarded to Continental Airlines Corp. Travel Dept.  On these comment sheets I ask to be informed of, contacted, concerning what action was taken to correct the situation…so, that, I may, in turn, inform you of what was done concerning your situation.  I have not received any responses.

I ask that you call Operational Performance about any and all complaints, from minor to major.  1-800-871-7167, local 713-324-2640, VM 42640.

Please, also, fill out a comment sheet so I can forward it to Corp. Travel.

If we, as a cohesive unit, come together, unified, as flight attendants, as well as union members, we will have more say in hotel accommodations and correcting problems.
