The Professional Standards Committee is designed to help promote a more unified working environment by giving Flight Attendants a tool to iron out crew-to-crew difficulties.  When faced with a situation between crew members, we ask that you come talk to us instead of  completing a formal write-up.  When you write someone up, it generally turns into a very messy situation.  The only "winner" is the Company, who now has information that could lead to investigations and disciplinary action.

The Professional Standards Committee will keep all conversations strictly confidential.  After a request for assistance has been made, we will make every effort to address the situation in a diplomatic manner.  Many cases are attributed to simple crew member misunderstandings.

We believe that we (your fellow Flight Attendants) should be able to "police our own."  By coming to us first, we have the opportunity to take corrective action without the Company getting involved.  Please feel free to talk to any of us at the Grievance table or you can reach us at (832) 368 - 6529.
